Based in Port Huron, Michigan, Dr. Frank Brettschneider handles more than 600 major surgical cases annually as an otolaryngologist. He holds board certification in three specialties, otolaryngology, orofacial plastic surgery, and otolaryngic allergy and is a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Brettschneider draws on his extensive training to serve his community both in private practice and as an attending Emergency Room physician.
Dr. Brettschneider started out as a pharmacist, earning his degree in 1981 from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Shortly thereafter, he enrolled in the Doctor of Osteopathy program at Michigan State University, earning his D.O. and graduating in the top 5 percent of his class in 1985. He undertook his osteopathic internship at Mt. Clemens General Hospital, a Michigan State University affiliate. Upon completing his internship, Dr. Frank Brettschneider remained at Mt. Clemens General Hospital for his residency in otolaryngology and orofacial plastic surgery.
Dr. Frank Brettschneider started his practice, Port Huron E.N.T Physicians, in 1990, providing treatment for such issues as allergies, dizziness, sleep apnea, sinonasal diseases, as well as a host of other maladies of the ear, nose, and throat. In addition to surgical and nonsurgical treatment for a variety of ailments, Dr. Brettschneider also performs a wide variety of cosmetic plastic surgery procedures, including rhinoplasties and facelifts, as well as laser treatments.
In addition to his practice and his emergency room responsibilities, Dr. Frank Brettschneider acts as a peer reviewer for the Licensing Board of the State of Michigan as well as the American Physician Insurance Corporation. Dr. Brettschneider also supports the Boy Scouts of America and his local church, and sits on several volunteer committees at the hospitals he holds privileges at. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and playing tennis.
